Bottled Water: Waste of Money?
I’ll be honest. I would rather drink water from a bottle than a glass or reusable bottle because it’s easy, but I’m tired of the trash and the cost of bottled water. I drink more water this way because it’s convenient, but I think it’s time to reevaluate my priorities.
Does it really take that much longer to get a glass of water at home or carry a large water bottle to work? No, I’m just lazy.
I’m also guilty of throwing the bottles away instead of recycling them. I think it’s important to recycle, especially when they pick it up at the curb once a week.
I know I’m not the only one out there suffering from convenient laziness. So, I’m making a commitment to stop buying bottled water and drink it from the tap. I’m going to buy into the marketing of Pur water filters and go pour myself a glass of awesome.
I found a Pur faucet filter for $32. That should pay for itself in the next six weeks because I pay about $20 a month for bottled water by the case. Stay tuned to see if I overcome my convenient laziness.
